Saschuck Field Station, Sierra Co., California 6328 ft
6:41 pm observed 2 adults feeding a fledgling hidden in the grass. They would always set off for the fledgling from the same willow bush which was clust of grass. The area where the presumed fledgling was hiding was in tall grass (1-1 1/2') and 6' from willows.
8:03 pm dunnin g forest, cheean ad Carlsga.
Ah, long day; feels good to have found some sparrows. The area W of the W side of the station has numerous willow clumped sparrows but it is far too populated by people to offer good area for nest manipulation. Concentration in Piny Pine and near the station will be best.
