weds, 8 1995 14 Perry Hall, Takee Natl Forest (1.5mi S Sugarfield Sta.) Newder Co. City 6300ft 17 jn red - created no call to ths ~100yds. In this bend in the River where Saguenes were spotted a SS popped out of small willow ~ 10'x10' foot bush. Heard "Chsip" positively 4. Then spotted a jaywite (?) makig a wren-like "Wreen" "Wreem" sound. Flagged th willow w/ Chatreuse on its S side. 10m NE from that willow is another preching the week. Near its base overheij the week into a garter snake in what could be the entrance to a nest. I found aruck white wash ad 2 downy featers w/1' of th snake. Heard 2 indivs call from that bush as well. No S call just "Chsip" ad "Wreen" calls. 6:21 SS have been quiet since I left the bush w/ th snake while I was searching then that bush I heard a S call ad a lot of Chipping. 60 yds W of last flag heard anoth S singing; no sign of fledgyns near Beaver dam when I saw a Beaver swimming in i q water his head was partially under ad tail completely buried was visible above H2O ~ 2'1/2' from head to tail tip. Heard high strident shriep before I saw th beaver, don't know what made the noise. 7:16pm much more singing than there was at 4:00pm. I've tagged moth pos, next over this one is 25m from opergate down Perry
