Dead grasses at 1.ve willow branches lay th outside a 4" d. pole flagged on opposite side of road near coast flock. Heard a Black-headed Grosbeak possibly, heard Say Sparrows in distance but saw no activity at next day 20 minuts. \150yds from Telephone pole 15090 Back wi Berkeley 12:00pm 7jun .3miles NE Bear Creek Road from San Pablo, Contra Costa Co.,Caly. 7:24am, route (24) to Claremont Ave to College to Dwightway to Centennial ('60145.2 to 60161.6 ) to Cooy Corner Rd to Shasta to Wildcat Cagn to Bear Creek. Overcast ~35°F, ground is very wet from hard rain yesterday. Chance of rain again today Climbed up to the nest found yesterdy - it is empty, looks like a start. Only bird very evident while I was climbing were B.S.T+1/2 (15) but it does not look like a T.+ nest.
