Oursan Trail, San Pablo Dam, Contra Costa City. 25 May but couldnt find any. I'm going to take Sarate San Pablo Road over to the Tig Reservoir to see if there are areas along streams less filled with vegetati, making nest finding easier. Back in Berkeley 12:30pm, didn't find much along San Pablo Dam Rd - way public and lot of filthy Oursan Trail, San Pablo Dam, Contra Costa Co., CA U.F. 6 June 7:54am, weather is overcast and cool. Purpose is to search in the willows for nests. Pnc williams thinks the nests are easier to see when looking up but well hidden from above. Mileage 60112.8 to 60135.5 Appro Route - Grassy Culmin to Golf Course Keene to Teon Shasta to Wildcat to Bear Creek Road ~.7mile on Bear Creek to left turn past House Ranch to Oursan Trail. Overcast ~55°F drizzling lightly. 8:57am Rainy quite hard came in from the West Birds very quiet only two singing down near sand bagged area of coyote brush at E'ardy Creek Since it's rainy I will drive around and do some exploring. North down Oursan Trail .5mile around a bend to the left come up on a promising area with coyote brush on N facing slope. The road dead ends. 1 mile further over 2nd Rt off of (Nar) Oursan Trail dead ends on E side of gulley ~ .15 mile.
