California 24 May I walked along th south end of th reservior. not too much likely song sparrow habitat. Now head N from parking lot Bachmans, French Broom, Madrona line th N side move quickly called than to S. Maygaul (10's) wreaths and RS Towhees. Markey Flowers. Left tear week overs the stage ground for Browns Overlook, drive S along Bear Creek Road 4/2 Turned west on unnamed road to Oursan Tr. at Hampton trail. Many Willows line th draw also Oakleaf Pine, mustard and Rhassas, French Broom. 75 yds from th end of th pavement NW on Oursan Tr. have seen 2 song sparrows. They are in the willows and tule's, Bachmans lining th creek on th S side of th pavement. Down up ad RWBB plentiful at 10:36 am. Saw fledgling Song Sparrow - yellow lip edges, bright red glyph in inscription with calling about. Heard at least 4 or 5 song sparrows sing in 50yds along the creek. I ventured out of the creek bank and found a huge bush of poison oak. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until after I had crawled around in it! Found no nests, back in Oakbland at 1:30 pm. Bright Sunny ad breezy ~65° F. Species List Field-billed Crote Browns Ros. 1 Canada Geese " 3 California Quail Oak Woodland 8 Golden Eagle 1 Red-tailed Hawk 1 Anna's Hummingbird 2
