Dextrose 5% in Water 500ml
Bicarb 2.2%
Potassium Chloride 7.41mg/ml
on IV fluids
for 6 hours
IV drip rate set at 30 drops/min
Total volume: 500ml + 200ml = 700ml
To be infused over 6 hours (100ml/hr)
Monitor blood glucose levels every 4 hours and adjust insulin accordingly.
