of texture to take imprint of hobnails
and outline of foot readily. Traps
set along sides of dry stream
bottom, up on banks .6 feet above
stream bed. Sarcobatus major plant.
Area: the 1/4-mile-wide bottom of a
valley.
July 28 3 mi. SW Vernon, 4300 ft., Pershing Co., Nev.
Five caught in area of silt with
slight admixture of sand - light tan
in color. Slope 3° to East.
Rocks 1 ft to 3 ft. in diameter
not abundant. Sarcobatus
prominent plant.
July 29 21 mi. W + 2 mi. N Lovelock, 4000 ft., Pershing Co.
2 caught in 60 traps set on
light gray dunes of windblowable
Sand. These dunes as miniature
mountain ranges averaging ten
feet high and several
hundred yards long. Plants:
Sarcobatus + Artemesia.
