July 17 One shot while running himself on a
huge boulder near rim rocks of
Valley. Boulder, 2 feet high-
probably a portion of disintegrated
basaltic column a line of which
forms south rim of valley.
Aspens at base of rim rock.
Aug 1 El Dorado Canyon, 8000 ft., Humboldt Range, Pershing Co.
One caught in rat trap in
abandoned wooden building on its
1st floor. Area about building
grassy with a number of
Juniper trees averaging
one per hundred square yards.
