July 30 Caught: 1 Peromyscus crinitus, 12 P. moniculatus, 4 Perognathus parvus. Shot Say Phoebe in flight over hillside. Shot 1 sceloperus near stream under aspers, cornus and Rosa. Shot Western robin on talus slope near Sagebrush. 40 traps left on slope for chipmunks; None caught. July 31 During night Caught 2 Perognathus parvus, 2 Reithrodonomys megalotus, 8 Peromyscus moniculatus, 41 Peromyscus truei truei. Set 26 mouse traps in semi-meadow of Sagebrush x grasses at: El Dorado Canyon 8000 ft. Humboldt Range, Pershing Co., Nev. Meadow with 5° slope to west and constituting the floor of valley between two shoulders of mountain. Meadow 300ft. wide. Set 3 rat traps in deserted house nearby.
