Smiley 1936 Perognathus parvus (cont.) El Dorado Canyon 800ft, Humboldt Range, Pershing Co, Nev. July 30 4 caught in 40 traps set on hillside with slope 20-45 degrees. Finely divided soil with goodly of admixture small angular rocks. Ground didn't take imprint of hobnails readily. Artemesia - Juniperus major plants. Latter spaced averaging 75 feet apart. July 31 Traps left out over night. Two caught in locality as above. Aug. 1 El Dorado Canyon, 800ft., Humboldt Range, Pershing Co., Nev. I caught in west sloping meadow-slope 5°. Traps among grasses for meadow mice. Soil & shrubby plants not noted. Aug. 3 S slope Granite Peak, East Range, Pershing Co, Nev. 1 caught in 45 traps. S-facing slope with fine silt-like soil light brown in color with admixture of small angular rocks. Soil would barely take imprint of hobnails because of small rocks. Vegetation: Juniperus pinyon pine, Artemesia.
