Smiley 1936 Terognathus formosus 3 mi. SW Vernon, 430 ft. Pershing Co., Nev. July 27 Eight caught along upper rims of 15-foot-deep "wash" 50 feet from rim to rim with a 3-foot-wide, dry stream bed below. Boulders 2-6 feet in diameter averaging 10 feet apart. Small angular rocks left only 30% fine soil exposed over the 100% ground surface. Grasses present on fine soil.
