Smiley 1936 Pergonathus longimembris 4 mi. NW Flanigan, 4200ft, Washoe Co., Nev. July 4 In 57 traps set, 3 Pl. were caught. Area of sand dunes as high as six feet; Sand dirty white. Sarcobatus a major plant. This probably not the most favorable niche for this species. July 5 N side Sand Pass, 3950 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. Number of specimens taken not recorded. Area of wind-blown sand and silt without conspicuous dune structure. This soil drifted around base of Sagebrush-like, unidentified plants: one plant a sturdy-stemmed [illegible] legume with tiny purple flowers (herbaceous). see July 6 July 24 1 1/2 mi. N Quinn River Crossing, 4100 ft. Humboldt Co., Nev. On a flat-topped ridge with very hard ground, small angular rocks abundant and embedded in neutral color soil. Atriplex major plant. July 25 9 1/2 mi. N Sulphur, 4050ft., Humboldt Co., Nev. One caught in dune area of semi- windblowable sand over which there was a stippling of vari-colored pebbles less than two mm. in diameter. Atriplex major plant. 1 1/2 mi. N Sulphur, 4050 ft., Humboldt Co., Nev. 3 caught on dune structure 15'x100'x600' of windblowable sand light tan in color. Sarcobatus x Artemesia major plants.
