July 15 One specimen caught under Sarcobatus bush where ground was soft mixture of sand and silt with slight crust due to a rain within past month(?)
East rim of north-sloping valley.
July 24 1 1/2 mi. N Quinn River Crossing, 400ft., Humboldt Co., Nev.
One caught near Sarcobatus bush on semi-compacted, light tan silt. Terrain flatish. Indication of heavy rain in dry stream beds over silt area.
Aug. 29 mi. E Fanning, 4100ft., Buena Vista Valley, Pershing Co., Nev. One caught in 62 traps set on cream-colored silt with dune structure. Shoe sinks 1 inch into soil at each step. Sarcobatus major plant. Dunes up to eight feet in height. Food plants appeared scarce.
