Smiley 1936 Microtus montanus 4 mi. SW Diessner, 5800 ft., Washoe Co., Nev. July 22 Four caught in area 100 ft. square; damp; Sedges to height of 2 feet - (close - growing). Terrain flattish. Under sedges a tender grass lying flat on ground - tromped by mice and Spode-foot toads. One path of mud-encrusted grass was seen; this only 3 ft. long
