The pelage was much lighter and more highly colored than others seen— being orange-tan, light-tan, and golden-tan. 50±ft., Cerro La Cholla, 6 mi. nww Punta Peñasca, Sonora. April 3,1938. ♀116(no emb.) taken in granite blocks of hill near bay of Gulf among creosote, ocotillo, and cholla. Houses in rocks made up of parts of the above plants—much cholla spines among it. April 5,1938. ♂7123 and ♀124 caught among ocotillo and creosote on granite hills.
