From 21 traps set in large, lava boulders along dark-
wash at the tanks took 2 N.l. bensoni (♂58emb; ♀59emb).

♂7107 taken in large lava rocks on lee-side
of hill from bay of Gulf. The pelage was much
lighter and more highly colored than others seen—
being orange-tan, light-tan, and golden-tan.

♀116(no emb.) taken in granite blocks of hill
near bay of Gulf among creosote, ocotillo, and
cholla. Houses in rocks made up of parts of the
above plants—much cholla spines among it.

creosote on granite hills. The male had very light
colored pelage.
