JESimpson, 1938. Dipodomys spectabilis 1900±ft., 16.7 mi. sw. Bami, Sonora. April 25, 1938. Four (σ⃡ 242, 243, 244; ♀ 245 no emb.) taken at mound sites among creosote, palo verde, palo fierro, and saquero. This constitutes, as far as known, the most southerly record of the occurence of this species in Sonora. (Cheek-pouch contents saved). 2600±ft., 20 mi. s. Santa Ana, Sonora. May 14, 1938. Twelve (3σ⃡ with broken skulls, σ⃡ 360-62, and ♀ 365 no emb. one emb. ♂ 364-68). taken at mound sites among grass and mesquite ♀ 363-64 were moulting. Cheek-pouch (rocksy soil). contents saved. 2100±ft., 45 mi. N. Hermozillo, Sonora. May 15, 1938. Three (2σ⃡ and 1♀; put up σ⃡ 381; ♀ 382 no emb.) taken at mound sites on tan-soil among grass, palo fierro, dara blanca, and mesquite. Cheek-pouch contents saved. 4700±ft., La Sauceda, 15 mi. NNE. Cananea, Sonora. May 29, 1938. 2emb 2emb. One juvenile and ♀ 459, 460 taken on rolling grassland (over grazed) between river bed and Saras. (cf. General Account, pp. 89-90, May 29, 1938).
