Specimen was eaten by ants. Cheek-pouch contents saved. 1400±ft, El Ojito, 6 mi. NE. Suerui, Sonora May 23, 1938. ♀ no numb. ♂ 413 taken in light brush on red-rock clifside of arroyo. Cheek-pouch contents saved. 2550±ft, lavrned, mi. Moctezuma, Sonora May 24, 1938. Four (♂ 418, ♂ jv. 419, ♀ 420, ♀ 421) taken on side of black lava hill in thick brush. Mice have blackish pelage. Cumpas, Sonora May 28, 1938. ♂ 452 taken on rocky hill above wash in sparse vegetation of ocotillo, cholla, and "dead" brush. Cheek-pouch contents saved. Specimen was damaged considerably by ants.
