A small cut (not big enough to be called an arroyo) 10-12 ft. wide was between the traps which lay:(just barely worth mentioning perhaps); the one catching the dark in dark lava; the trap of light mouse in lighter colored lava. April 2, 1938. σ7108 taken on windward side of above-ment- ioned lava hill. 50+ ft., Cerro La Cholla, 6 mi. wnw Punta Peñasca, Sonora April 3, 1938. σ7109 and σ7110 caught in granite hills near bay of Gulf among ocotillo, creosote, and cholla. 1400+ ft., Imune Sonoita, Sonora. Seven(σ7145-48; ♀149-51; cheek-pouch contents saved) among palo verde and mesquite in rocky hills(the vegetation much heavier here than on level desert, also much saquero, pitayo, ocotillo, nopal, and barrel-cactus.
