JESimpson, 1938 Eumops perotis 270±ft., Rancho de Costa Rica, Rio Sonora, Sonora. May 1, 1938. At water-tank with Dr. Benson caught three; put up one: σ7281. Cf. general account, pp. 66-70 of May 1-4, 1938. May 2, 1938. At water-tank with Dr. Benson and Señor Delgadillo caught [illegible]; none were put up. Cf. as above. b: three as skeletons only: σ7309, 3/0 and ♀311. May 3, 1938. At water-tank with Dr. Benson and Señor Delgadillo caught one; turned it loose. Cf. as above. The bats smelled of a strong sweet odor presum- able coming from a gland on throat where odor was most (nauseating) powerful.
