JESimpson, 1938. 73. Bahia Kino, Sonora. May 7, 1938. Broke "camp" and drove to: 501 ft., 3 mi. se. Punta Arena, 75 mi. w. Hermosilla, 200 made camp about two hundred yards from Gulf shore with Tiburon Island just across the channel. Shot five lizards (312-316). Set out 50 mouse- traps on the rocky ground among creosote, torote, and ocotillo. May 8, 1938. Caught 6 Perognathus penicillatus (♂➝ and 1♀; put up: ♂➝ 317-19; ♀ 320), nine Perognathus baileyi (3♂?, 3 ♀, and 3 juveniles; put up: ♂➝ 321, 322; ♀ 323), two Dipos- domys merriami (♂➝ 324, ♀ 325), and 10 Peromyscus eximius. Cheek-pouch contents of pocket-mice squashed. Shot and put up a Gambel's quail: ♂➝ 326. (also shot a (Cactus wren) Put up mice and drove to: 500 ft., 2 mile Punta Arenas, 75 mi. w. Hermosilla Sonora May 8 1938, continued Drove off road toward rocky hills over rough rocky terrain; made camp about ½ mile from hills being stopped by rough ground and washes. Set 50 mouse-traps and 4 rat-traps on rocky, steep hillside among ocotillo, pitayo, creosote, torote, and bara blanca. May 9, 1938. Caught 6 Perognathus intermedius (327 as "skull only" for an Onychomys (probably) left only the head in trap;
