B. Shiff 1976 Journal Mexico: Mexico, Puebla 29 Jan. very thin, & the general body is stout, w/ a large head. The toes are diminutive, unwebbed, and pointed. note: all elevations are relative, & will have to be adjusted when a known elevation is found. This d. 3050-3100 m. City of Puebla - 2100 m. Rio Frio (church) - 2900 m. 30 Jan. Mexico - Veracruz, Fortin and Cuatlapa - We went into Fortin for breakfast, and while trying to find some ice went out Av. I Poniente, to the western edge of town. Here we turned some rocks and about 30-40 flagstones - under one of these I got a B. platyductyla. It was moist but not really wet, about 10:30 AM. No other herps were seen. We bumped into a man & his son, and agreed to pay for salamanders at the end of the day. (They got none.) Then went to meet Carlos at Cuatlapan. He was at the sugar factory, and Miguel was also out. We talked w/ Carlos's wife, then went to find the banana & coffee finca locality west of town. A dirt road goes west at Carlos's house, and we
