6. Shaffer 1976 Journal Mexico: Mexico, Puebla. 29 Jan. under the log was fairly moist. We turned lots of other logs in the area, many of which were chaffed, and most of which were rotten. Under two different dry logs I got 2 Baisia - both coiled in the ground. Peeling back on one big log (2 ft. diameter) I got 4 small Sceloporus, and another adult was out running around. This area is 9.5 mi. w. (via Hwy 150) from the Rio Frio church, which is next to Parc National Zoquapan office. Although it looked like if had not rained in a while, it was still moist under some logs, & peeling bark was often wet + moldy. We pushed on after a couple of hours - the road is very slow & windy and we made poor time. Also it started to rain on and off, never heavily, but we did get showers. We ate in Puebla City, then Jim drove to Veracruz, where we stayed in the Hotel "Pepsi" - a dive, but cheap. The Parvarmolge is small (~2cm S-V.) and is a rust-brown above & brown flecks. The sides go to a deep-grey, and there is a sharp line where the black venter meets the grey sides. & Venter is pure black. The legs are fairly long &
