B. Shifty 1977 Journal Airplane - Guatemala City -> S.F. Calif. 12-14 July. on the plane. We then caught a more - "2 minute warning," not a bad flight, then cruised. In the morning we divided up the records, ate, & hit the airport around 9:45. The flight left at 10:75 - so not too much time. Naturally, the Heffs were no where to be found, so we said screw it - & I checked in. $8 in airport fee & away we went - a minor hassle over the animals, liquid nitrogen, etc. occured. They insisted on checking everything, which was all packed away. We waited for a while, then the guy came out, put tags on everything, & put it on the plane. He even waived the excess weight, which amounted to about $40 - hell of a nice guy! We then cruised the shops a bit - bagged some staggers & had a final cup of coffee & a goodbye smoke. It's funny - I missed the states so bad when I left - but the missing of house subsided, & now I hate to go. Oh well - I barely made the plane - they were already rolling away the gangplate - & now its back to the states Adios!
