Shaffer 1977 Journal 25 June San Juan Ixcay, Huehuetengo, Guat. near the stream & rex higher up, although the separation isn't great. mostly rex mostly rostrata -> Ix coy creek We also found several Barisia moreletti, primarily under stores, & some kips, and 1 or 2 small Sceloporus. We stopped for lunch at Tojquia - a very small town on the high plain (~12,000 ft.). A fine meal of rice soup, potatoes, chicken and tortillas. ($50 total) & we went on to Todos Santos. Todos (~10 miles). Santos -> Ix coy Paguix The road out of Paguix is steep but quite passable; we want all the way to Todos Santos, then came back and rested.
