3 Stoffs. 1975 Journal Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico to Ixcay, Huehuetenango, Guatemala. 22-24 Jun. Pond where I heard some Angistomops calling. We got 5 of them - always under thorn bushes or cactus at the edge of the water. Also in the pond got 1 Bufo - (see catalogue). Along the road we picked up a good series of the Bufo, plus a series of B. marinus. We also got a small Constrictor constrictor. We got a hotel in Tehuantepec (Hotel $3.09/person?) then decided to do a little more night cruising. We hit the road to Salinas Cruz - 18 km, all paved. Oaxaca Tehuantepec 18km -> Salinas Cruz We got another Bufo, & a very recent DOR Trimorphodon, & a live Loxocemus. The road is dry-draining desert-like land, but with some standing water with reeds. We heard frogs calling but didn't look for them - if sounded like a 1 or 2 sp. Mytilid chorus. We prepared our specimens that night, then slept. Next day we went as far as San Cristobal.
