B. Shaffer 1976 Es Journal Las Viguas, en Route to Mexico City - Mexico, Feb. logs + rocks to turn. However, for the most part it is still very picked over, cleared out forest. We worked 2 localities, one on the south side, one on the north. On the south side I got 2 of the Bolitoglossa (John Wright told me today they are actually Pseuds - very bizarre!) under logs, & we found nothing else. Then in the cleared, open area by the road, small under hay piles, we found another 10 Bolits - after 3-4 per pile - it is dark & wet, & they are very abundant. Jim also got a snake + a Scelop. in this area. We then crossed to the south side, looking for more animals. Jim got none, & I got none till the last few logs. In one log, under bark that peeled easily, but not rotten, I got 5 Chirip's (?) about 40mm S-U - all brown w some flecks on the side. It has big feet, moves very quickly + can jump. I got two more in other logs, & that's it. We took all for Mexico City- only worked one locality along the way. This was our old Rio Frio locality, where we saw a few Scelops, but took nothing.
