B. Stella. Journal 1976. Cerro San Felipe, Est. Oaxaca, Mexico. 12 Feb. subsided, however. We ate lunch & decided to push on to the summit locality, 15 km W. of La Cumbre. This area is reported to have a superabundance of P. smithii in the wet months, so we were curious to see it now. x summit. uphill, wooded, shaded. large clearing uphill to stumps & logs. W. --dirt road La Cumbre, The area in the clearing shown above - open, exposed to direct sunlight, & fairly hot. There are many logs & stumps, & we worked those first. The Pseudosycrea were occasionally found under logs, & often up to 10 under both of stumps. However, they are not thick under logs as reported for the wet season. We found that most of the animals encountered were very young, still retaining the juvenile red spots. Also in the clearing I got 1 Basisa & one scelponis - the former under a log & the latter out running around. I then started to work south up the north facing slope. Inside
