B. Shuffn 1976. Journal Cerro San Felipe, Oaxaca, Mexico. 12 Feb. of the mtn. The road is a good, major road, Q x Hacumbre. logging road. Cerro San Felipe x el Estudiante. Oaxaca. with several forks (map forthcoming) however, the easiest way to remember your way is always take the uphill fork - it will get you to the top. The mtn. was very dry all over, and especially at the lower reaches was quite windy & hot - the wind probably contributed to the overall dryness. The slopes of the mtn. are steep (too dense) down so one can really only walk a few places. The first is about 2.4 km. from the entrance at La Cumbre. we worked logs for Florius, but it was very dry; I we saw no salamanders. Also, we wanted bromeliads for Abornig which
