B. Shiffer 1976. Journal Cerro Pelon Area, Est. Oaxaca, Mexico. 0 Feb. common, for there are plenty of cover objects. I was getting late, so we pushed on & worked one more spot - another primarily pine + oak area 52 km. N. Gezelatus. This was a rather dryish area, too very few cover objects. I got one Tharics under a small (~3" diameter) log, & that's all we got. The underbrush was thick at this area, & it is hard to work. We did see night walks (see 10 Feb., a Feb. for details) then took off. ate and camped out. Oaxaca city, Est. Oaxaca, Mexico. 11 Feb. We were really tired & far behind on animals today, so we decided to take a day to get caught up. We found a great hotel - the Hotel "Primavera", & got a room - 68 pesos, clean, & you park your car inside at night. There is also a good restaurant next door. spent the day at cataloguing & screwing around Oaxaca city - a very nice place. Cerro San Felipe - Est. Oaxaca, Mexico. 12 Feb. To get to Cerro San Felipe drive north Hwy 175 out of Oaxaca City , past El Estudiante to the turn of La Cumbre - here there is a dirt logging road to the West that goes all the way in to the peaks.
