B. Shiff 1976 Journal Vicinity of Llano de las Flores, Oaxaca, Mexico. 1 Feb. 10 in all. This log was cedar, it was rotted to the point of breaking into large chunks - not trocily rotten, but breaking up. This type of log proved the best for Thorius at this stop i. several others - they seem to dislike really rotten logs, i. you can't get into solid ones. I then moved off into the woods by the side of the house i got more Thorius in similar cedar logs. In study spots I also found them under large pieces of peeled bark on the ground; for those maintained their moisture well. All together, we Got about 35 Thorius - I got ~ 25 of them. Also, I picked up another Scleropus out running around. We then moved on to Llano de las Flores - a large clearing another 8 km. W. on the road. This area is a very large meadow that crosses the road slightly & has a small stream going down the middle of it.
