R.K. Selander 1953 77 San Fernando, Chiapas, México Nov. 5 and we hunted up the road toward Santa Rita, but without getting a blind. Trail muddy from the rain. Clouds hovering low over the hills in every direction. Decided to return to Tuxtla and left San Fernando by taxi late in the afternoon. Gave Bonifacio remaining food as a tip for his help during last 5 weeks. Left with Alvary - ammunition, shotgun, suitcase, most of my field clothes, mosquito net, large supply of cotton, and various odds and ends. Made reservation on 8:30 A.M. plane for Mexico City tomorrow. Nov. 6 Tuxtla Gutiérrez to Mexico City. Stayed at Hotel Regia (25 pesos). Nov. 7 Mexico City to Tijuana - Los Angeles - San Francisco, arriving home at 11:00 P.M.
