Calhunu sp.
August 15 15 mi. N Cuernavaca, 8900 ft., Morlos, Mexico - Common in thickets beneath oaks and pines. Wary and difficult to get shot at. Frequently flushed from ground along path - fly into thicket, sometimes pausing for a moment at the edge of the thicket before darting out of sight. Remind me much of behavior of Hybickla guttata or perhaps more of H. ertulata.
Obtained a juvenile specimen for identification.
