K. Selander, 1952 Stelgidopteryx ruficollis? Aug. 25 "Montezuma" Island, 10 ft., Laguna Coyuca, Guerrero, Mexico. A flock of about 75 flying about the island feeding on swarms of small leaf-hoppers and gnats. Also smaller groups of 3-10. Appeared to be resident, but I cannot be sure of this. No nests or likely nesting sites noted on the island. One specimen taken. No recovered hooklets on outermost primary, but a juvenile. Cannot place it set species.
