Empidonax traillii
Aug. 23 Pie de la Cuesta, 20 ft., Guerrero, Mexico - Few
noted in broad-leaved trees back from the edge
of the leguna - Took a specimen in mangrove tree
near the leguna.
Aug. 23 Noted again today -
Aug. 24 General. Prefer lower branches of the larger trees;
especially in drier situations - not so much in
mangroves. Most frequently seen in trees in meadow
dry grazing area & not uncommon. Mide somewhat
similar to that of E. traillii of n. Utah.
Aug. 26 Specimen taken from branch of tree about 2 feet
above the ground in a meadow.
Aug. 28 Rather common.
