R.K.Selander, 1952 1 Centurus aurifrons August 7 2 mi. S Cortazar, 3700 ft., Veracruz, Mexico.- One of the commonest species in the vicinity. Numerous broad-legged trees which are interspersed among the coffee bushes. Very excited when approached or at the sound of the shotgun. Seen in pairs today, also single. When excited, they give a complicated, harsh series of cries.
