In palms and other trees - very wary. Usually in pairs. August 23 - Same experience as Aug. 21. August 24 " " " " . Size of C. livia. Aug. 26 3 seen. None a thin light terminal tail band, Very difficult to get a shot at them. Aug. 28 Shelone: too badly damaged for preparation. Prefer the ground beneath trees, especially in moist situation such as small ponds or standing water beneath trees. Bird today shot in dark spot on ground in dense stand of trees.
