R. K. Selander, 1952 3 Beaver Creek, 7300 ft., 10 mi. E Kamas, Summit Co., Utah July 5 5:30 we drove to Oakley and then up the Weber River toward Smith-Moorehouse Canyon to a locality - 10 mi. E Oakley, 7400 ft., Summit Co., Utah Near a bridge over the Weber River mayflies caddis-flies and gnats were swarming in great numbers. Collected many mayflies of several species. As I expected night hawks (C.minor) to appear in numbers at dusk, we remained here until almost sunset. Only 5 or so night hawks appeared - and these flew so high that we were unable to collect specimens. Other species observed were Song sparrow, yellow warbler, tree swallow (common, I collected), red-shafted flicker, robin, Brewer blackbird, red-winged blackbird, black-billed magpie. We then drove to Salt Lake City, arriving at 9:30 P.M.
