Aug. 23 Several (5-10) noted at various times during the mornings hunt in marshy area. Also perched on top of trees. Wild and difficult to approach with short-gun range. Aug. 24 Three in mangroves. Wary. Fly long distances over the laguna and along the water's edge when disturbed. Aug. 25 "Montosa" Island*, sea level, Laguna Coyuca, Guerrero, Mexico - one in area at western end of island.
