Seemingly, cortis weens would be fun and for between here. Then there may be some real degree of isolation between populations in Chihuahua and southern Durango,] Set out longp for insects - took 3 kinds of meloidea. Weather mild with full moon and cloudless sky, saw two calli pepita squamata in field near the highway just as we left camp. Sept. 7 Son Pedro River, 4000 ft., 25 mi. SE Chihuahua, Chihuahua to Socorro, New Mexico,- Passed through border inspection without incident. Mexican customs official looked into our suitcase briefly. American inspectors made no inspection after I gave them my letter of introduction from Dr. Miller. Staged at motor court in Socorro, New Mexico for the night. Sept. 8 Socorro, New Mexico to Kanab, Kane Co., Utah - Camped about one mile north of Kanab, just off the highway. Sept. 9 Kanab, Kane Co., Utah to Salt lake City, Utah .- Arrived in Salt lake City at 2:00 P.M.. At about 7:30 P.M. noted numerous Chordeile minor flying low over the city in loose flocks. Apparently migration is getting underway in this region. Sept.10-14 Salt lake City, Salt lake Co., Utah Sept. 15 Salt lake City to Berkeley, California. Sept. 16 Arrived at MVZ. at 5:30.
