R.K.Selander, 1952 53 PiedelaCuesta, 20 ft., Guerrero, Mexico. August 27 Took an adult ?F.lorida caerulea (overstruck) which I made into a skeleton. Also collected a Columbigallina talpacoti - rather common; seen during past few days. Two Trogon citreolus seen; one obtained. Yellow warblers quite numerous in trees in pasture; collected one. Shot a cardinal in tree in pasture; saw one other. Flushed a Banded Gnatl in pasture. Took two C. humilis and 2 lizards. Noted two Hylopanassa tricolor standing in pond near the road. White-winged dove (pair) roosted in tree in pasture. August 28 Hunted along road to Coyuca just west of PiedelaCuesta. Noted and/or collected the following species: loragyrus atratus - common. Philortyx fasciatus - one flushed. Tacana spinosa - 4 seen in boggy area. Scardafella cinca - common Columbigallina perhaps? less common than S. cinca; several seen: habits similar to S. cinca. Zenaida asiatica? - one seen. leptotila verreauxi - one shot but too badly damaged for a specimen. This is the "pigeon" I have observed here several times in the past. Aratinga carularis - flock of +75 in trees near stand of palms. Very close to location where I observed them a few days ago. Cotophaga sulaevstris - abundant. Noted some
