August 22 and checked formalin specimens. Small boat flying in front of our bungalow at 8:00 P.M.
Writing notes until 11:00 P.M. (The price per day of our bungalow reduced to $ pesos after some huckering with the senorita who runs the place.)
August 23 Hunted from 8:00 until 11:00 over same area as yesterday.
Noted the following birds: (* indicates specimen taken)
* Buteoides virgatus - 2 juvenils (?) collected at edge of mangroves.

*cormorant (sp.?) - 3 flying over laguna.
Mycteria americana - 5
Coragyps atratus - 42 circling in flock.
