Napolé to Isla San Marcos, Baja California Sur, México
16 May the sand at 0030. Walked until
0230 seeing nothing else. Colonyx
variegatus and Phyllodactylus were abundant,
but we did not collect any more.
Total observations:

I saw 2 C. scutatus which escaped, one
in a side canyon near the beach. Doris
saw two small snakes which escaped, one
almost certainly an Eriolophas. We
have now collected 5 snake species
on the island (including Elaphe).
Isla San Marcos to Santa Rosaĺa, and return Baja California
Sur, México
17 May Left at 900. I hardly slept at all, very
sore all night. Went to hotel El Morro
and slept until 1600. Went into Santa
Rosaĺa to eat and purchase lantern gas.
We finally found the latter at the furniture
store which sells lanterns. Arrived San Bruno
at 1800, having checked out of El Morro.
