10 May Leaving El Sargeato, we picked up 4 DOR
Piposaurus (and saw others) and a DOR
rotten Pituiaphis vertebralis on BC 136. Night
driving produced 14 saotres, mostly around
San Pedro. Mostly the usual Leptotyphlops
and Chilomeniscus but tonight we picked
up an adult DOR (crotalus mitthelli; C.T)
mi N El Trionto and two of the unusual
copperbean Phyllorhynchas. We're up to 10
nocturnal species for the area south of La
Paz. Still missing C. ruber & C. puya, Lichonura,
Elaphe, Sauara, Tantilla, Eridiphos.

11 May Another cooling night with rather boring
night driving just south of San Pedro; picked
up 15 saotres 7 of the Leptotyphlops, including
5 hatchlings, 1 yearling, and 1 adult. Got our
3rd DOR Lampropeltis. It's the 2nd to mirror
lously live, though. Drove home bored and
decided to go north tomorrow.
