Seib, B. 1984 Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico 30 Oct. only Bato & Phrynaypos. Right after dark we got a baby salamander coming out of the grass onto the road. It rained until 21:30, unlike last night when it stopped at dark, but we did not better. Only six live animals, all babies. We would not have done even this well had it not been for a burst of 4 camels in a trashy area on the junction to the power plant. We had dinner at the hotel and fell to sleep very tired. We waited hard for the flaviventris both nights. 31 Oct. Got up, ate, then more pool action. drove into town, dropped off our laundry, then went to the Nissan dealership to get some diddly repairs on the horn and right front fender. Only 300 pesos labor. Went to San Jeronimo twice today, once in the morning to pick up last night's stuff, and again at 1700 for todays stuff. They had a lot of centipedes for me. I requested these so that Dr. Richard Hoffman could ID the ones that the Tautilla ate at this locality. Had to pay as much as I gave them for snails! They brought
