25 Oct. Φ Trachops and took the net down. We should have left the Φ Trachops in the
net to call in other Trachops, but we
didn't have all our darts in a row.
Next time, if I'm travelling with a
full seabag I'll leave these late-comers
in the net to call in their friends, and
then we'll have all our trains running
on time. Went home very wet and
very cold and went to bed.
26 Oct. After breakfast this morning I picked the
animals on my permit and they heard
a knock on the door. The fate of the
hotel would rather I picked on the
fincas and would prefer that I left my
equipment in the truck, instead at the
room. Off. We drove West of Tapachula
looking for a good site to net. Found none. Took
the Nueve Almudres road for an hour and
found some potential there. It was
getting late and Kiti's leaving tomorrow
morning early, so we decided not to
net bats. Drove out to San Teremo (stripped
Monte Perla) and they had more of the
same including Κ Xaphidontophis annulatus
(= zeteki). Drove back to the hotel, and
prepared for Kiti to leave tomorrow.
