Zihuatanejo to Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico 11 Oct Drove fast to Acapulco attempting to arrive before dark. It was still light when we entered town, but dark on the other side because landslides messed up the entrance to town. We night drove on the road to Barra Vieja which skirts Mex hwy 200 by gong along to coast. The road went ~15 mi before we reached a washed-out bridge. Caught a live Lorocemus on the road 9.4 mi out that road. Caught a DOA Leptodora 5.1 miles out, and saw many frogs, including Rana, Bufo and several species of Hyla. Ate dinner at Shatley's Pizza y Pollo. Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico 12 Oct We woke up and drove up to the rocky area south of Acapulco and right above to coast above the Naval base. We were looking chiefly for bats for Allison. I caught 2 Anolis taylori and saw many Ameiva and 2 baby Ctenosaura.
