Seib, R. 1983 Cataviña to Bahía de los Angeles, Baja California Norte, Mexico 7 May me awake from 15 meters. I attempted to discourage their presence by shining my 20,000 candle light flash light into their eyes. These only seemed to anger them. So I just lay awake for the better part of an hour until their hover-beats disappeared into the night. Hyla crocked all night long and I saw several this morning. I kept a close watch on several of my favorite (nameless) constellations just to make sure everything was still in good order. Today Lee made the long drive to the gulf coast. Checked most of the can traps and was surprised to find them in good order, and with live lizards! Haven't checked them since 1980. Of particular interest was the trap site 18.5 mi's of Cataviña where both Petrovaurus meamsi and P. thalassinus occur together. I caught a P. meamsi in a trap and have caught them in traps here before. Although P. thalassinus are caught in traps wherever else they occur, they don't come down at the traps and small rocks here.
