Seib, R. 1982 Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico 24 Aug back to the hotel, played 3 hands of hearts & passed out. 25 Aug Woke up late, 9:30. Ate breakfast. Allison enjoyed the pool while I went to pay the rental car bill and change money at the bank. Came back and had a half hour swim and scampered out to San Jeronimo. I stepped out of the car and offered "50 pesos cada una tapalcita" to the first person I saw & he shortly brought me 4 caecilians. A little boy also brought me a caecilian. Money obviously talks. This is more money than I pay for large, deadly coral snakes. Felt pretty good. Shot over to Monte Perla and bought all their snakes, 48, including one live Amisfridium welliferum which I will keep alive for John Cadel. Felt pretty great & drove slowly back to San Jeronimo, hoping that I would have enough money to buy the caecilians. They had 26 and I nearly ran out of money, considering that I had to buy 110 frogs & a pile of snakes. This turned out to be a good day for Micrurus because I got two M. latifasciata at Monte Perla and two M. nigrocinctus at San Jeronimo. Arrived back the hotel at 18:00 and worked on
