At that point I couldn't see how I would get Marvalee's caecilians, and thought I might have to spend a few extra days in Mexico. Drove to Monte Perla very depressed. Bought the snakes there & suggested that we all go look for Tapalcaus. We searched in vain for about a half hour and I left even more depressed. Drove slowly back to San Jeronimo. As we rounded the curve, we saw a large crowd of people with bags of animals. One man had seven caecilians; 2 other people had one each. They also had many snakes and more than 50 frogs. I felt relieved because we now had a total of 19 caecilians for the day, drove back to the hotel and worked with the animals until past 23:00. Pickled 71 snakes & kept another 12 alive. All of these were ordinary snakes, Geophis, Adelphicos, & Ninia. Felt incredibly tired & missed Kanico restaurant by 4 minutes. We dragged our bodies over to the Quinta CarmelitadI ate two orders of enchiladas and ordered two more orders of food, but the kitchen was closed. Stumbled
