Seib, R. 1982 Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico and have a good idea how some of the species occur in major habitat types. Unfortunately, much of the larger trees are [illegible] and the habitat is more open. Overall, we saw fewer individuals and far fewer species than I have seen here in the past. We worked from about 17:15 to 21:26. See Ellison's notes for details. We were too exhausted to work (preserve animals) so we decided to stop and do the animals in the morning. We're supposed to get up at six o'clock so we came get to San Jeronimo by 8:00, but I'm sure we'll be late. 10 Aug Woke at 6:00 and preserved for 1 3/4 hr. Then had a good breakfast at hotel restaurant. Drove out to San Jeronimo and arrived late, 9:15. Found 6 people who were willing to work for wages: 150 pesos/day + 10 pesos/manea. Two of those were little boys. We walked back to the same area as yesterday and remade quadrat 1. We then made two more quadrats and
